Furnishing Philathropy

We believe in giving back to our community and doing our part to help the planet. As we go about the business of furnishing great spaces we often accumulate excess office furniture in our warehouse. Rather than send more to the landfill, we have been working to find new homes for these items. Each quarter, we send out an email to our list of local non-profits with a list of our excess or used furniture. If you work for a non-profit that might benefit from this program, please sign up to be added our distribution list.

Sustainable Enterprise Conference

Trope Group proudly supports this annual event which features a day-long learning and networking conference dedicated to helping North Bay businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations transition to economic, environmental and social sustainability.

Greenguard Environmental Institute

Many of the products Trope Group provides are “Greenguard Certified”. The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) was founded in 2001 with the mission of improving human health and quality of life by enhancing indoor air quality and reducing people’s exposure to chemicals and other pollutants. In keeping with that mission, GEI certifies products and materials for low chemical emissions and provides a free resource for choosing healthier products and materials for indoor environments.

U.S. Green Building Council

Trope Group is a member of The Redwood Empire Chapter of the US Green Building Council, whose mission is to promote the design, construction and operation of buildings in Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt and Del Norte Counties that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live, work and learn.
